b a c k g r o u n d : Mixtix is an android prototype that was deemed a project failure and was discarded. However, shortly before his seven-day long life was meant to conclude, Mixtix broke out of the laboratory and ran, blending in with the human beings that empty-mindedly roamed the city streets. The reason he was determined to be a failed experiment was mostly due to the personality he had developed during product formation, along with his behavioral tendencies and inability to learn to live by human morals. Mixtix was an early fabricated product and therefore presented many problems including an ever changing body temperature and constant mood swings. However, the main reason he was to be destroyed was because after the fifth day, one of the men discovered a highly toxic chemical flowing through the android’s artificial veins. Unfortunately, Mixtix was programmed with a will to survive— one test he did not fail.
c h a r a c t e r : Although upon first glance he may appear friendly and polite, Mixtix is typically cold and uncaring, and often contradicts himself using tones and expressions. The android’s morals are nonexistent, and although he was built with a self-educating program, the option to use it and change himself is only his decision. He was constructed to accommodate human needs, and therefore is very skilled in sensing the emotions of a person. Mixtix does not know himself well, however, and is not aware of his fears, nor his enjoyments. The one thing he recognizes a form of pleasure in is encountering new people, whether boring or unique. The android is seen wearing a long, black winter coat with fur trim around the hood and base. It reaches down to his ankles which are hidden by warm brown boots. There is only one remaining button on the coat found near the center, the rest having fallen off during the months he spent alone. He is often seen clutching the coat tightly around his body to stay warm.
t e n d e n c i e s : Mixtix tends to experience sudden body temperature drops and rises at random intervals throughout the day, some lasting but a few short moments and others persisting for hours, leaving him in significant discomfort. He regularly refuses food and drink, since his programming sends a warning at the thought advising him against consumption of such things. When first meeting him, Mixtix has a tendency to refer to a person’s name as a ‘label’ which is a glitch left unrepaired by his creators. He asks for a person’s ‘label’, despite already being well-aware of their personal information, out of courtesy. The android also occasionally experience a severe change in mood, ranging from extreme depression to hyperactive insanity. In the latter state, he may experience auditory and/or visual hallucinations and may become paranoid, furious or even display homicidal intent. There is no limit to what he may do during these fits.
